HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 11, Page 519, No Resolution Number519 A RESOLUTION AGREEING THAT THE CITY OF PADUCAH SHALL PAY ONE-THIRD OF THE COSTS OF RIGHTS OF WAY FOR THE SECOND SECTION OF THE BELT -LINE HIGHWAY TO BE CONSTRUCTED IN THE CITY WHEREAS, the Chief Locating Engineer of the Kentucky State Department of Highways, in a letter dated April 26, 1948, has requested that the City of Paducah agree to pay one-third of the costs of acquiring rights-of-way for the second section of the belt -line highway in the city; and WHEREAS, this is the same share that the city paid on the costs of rights-of-way for the first section of said highway and it is in the interest of the city to pay such reasonable proportion of these costs in order to obtain a highway of great benefit to the city; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: That the City of Paducah hereby agrees to pay Mone -third of the costs of acquiring rights-of-way for the second section of the belt -line highway to be constructed in the city. mayor Pro Tem v Commissioner Edward Carliek) Passed by the Board of Commissioners May 4, 1948 Recorded by Sarah Thurman, City Clerk, May 4, 1948.
