HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 11, Page 323, No Ordinance NumberAV ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE OF 1947, STANDARD OF TiIE NATIONAL BOARD OF FIRE UNDERWRITERS FOR ELECTRIC }TIRING AND APPARATUS AS RECOi°MENDED BY THE NATIONAL FIRE PROTECTION ASSOCIATION AS TUE ROVISIONS OF SAID CODE.ARE SET OUT IN A RESOLUT ADOPTED Bf THE BOARD OF COMhISSIONERS ON JANUARY 20, 1948; ADOPTING THE PROVISION:• OF SAID CODE AS AND FOR THE RULES, REGULATIONS AND M: IMUM STANDARDS FOR THE INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE OF ELECTRICAL WIRING AND APPARATUS IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY; AND REPEALIN( ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THERENITH; AND FIXING THE PENALTY FOR THI VIOLATION THEREOF; BE IT ORDAINED BY THE WARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY. SECTION 1. That the National Electrical Code of 1947, Standard of the National Board of Fire Underwriters for Electric Wiring and Apparatus recommended by the National Fire Protection Association is hereby adopted by the City of Paducah, Kentucky, as the provisio of said code are fully set out in a resolution adopted by the.Eoard of "ommissioners on January 20, 1948, and of record in Ordinance Book 11, at page 3 2 4 of the official records of the City of Paduca and the provisions thereof as the same appear in said resolution ar, hereby carried into force and effect as fully and to the same exten as if fully copied in this ordinance, and a copy of said electrical code is hereby filed with and as a part of this ordinance to the same extent as if fully copied herein, and the provisions of said electrical code are hereby adopted as and for the rules, regulation: and aminimu standards for the installation and maintenance of elect. rical wiring and apparatus in the City of Paducah, Kentucky. SECTION 2. Any person, firm, company, corporation or assoccta:tion who fails to comply with any of the provisions of the aforesaid electrical code shall upon conviction thereof, be fined not less than Ten (:;;10.00) Dollars, nor more thah One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars for each failu e to so comply, and each day said code or the requirements or provisions thereof are violated shall constitute a separate offense. SECTION 3. All ordinances in conflict herewith are to the extent of suet conflict hereby repealed. SECTION 4.
