THE EXCEPTION OF THE CITY MANAGER AND THE MEMBERS OF THE POLICE Am
FIRE DEPARTMENTS; FIXING THE A14OU14T AND EFFECTIVE DATES OF SUCH
INCREASES; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT 'FHERDIiITH
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SEC TION 1.
That the salaries of the City Judge and all employees of the
City of Paducah, Kentucky, with the exception of the City A?anager,
the members of the police and fire departments, the Corporation
Counsel, the Delinquent Tax Attorney, the City Alcoholic Beverage
Administrator, the Dump Watchman, the Social il'orker, the City

Physician (white), the City Physician (colored), the Temporary
Deputy Assessor, and the liiatchman in the Street Department, who are
i
part time employees, and with the exception of those employees
covered by Section 3 hereof, be and the same are hereby increased
in the following amounts:
Present monthly salary Monthly increase
Those receiving up to $175.00 $17.50
Those receiving $175.00 but less
than '?'200.00 15.00
Those receiving k200.00 but less
than $250.00 12.50
Those receiving $250.00 and over 10.00
SECTION 2.
That the salaries of the Corporation Counsel, the Assistant
Corporation Counsel, the Delinquent Tax Attorney, the City.Alcoholii
Beverage Administrator, the Dump Watchman, the Social Worker, the
City Physician (white), the City Physician (colored), the Temporary
Deputy Assessor, and the Watchman in the Street Department, be and
the same are hereby increased in the following amounts:
Present monthly salary Monthly increase
Those receiving up to $175.00 $8.75
Those receiving $175.00 but less
than $200.00 7.50
Those receiving $200.00 but less
than $250.00 5.25
Those receiving ;'50.00 and over 5.00
SECTION 3.
That the hourly rates of pay of employees paid on an hourly
basis who were given an increase in hourly rates by a reduction in
the work week under an ordinance adopted on November 25, 1947, be
increased so that their average total pay per month on a basis of th
normal work week will be increased as follows:
SECTION 4.
The salary of the laborer employes by the City on Sundays
and holidays to pick up dead animals shall be increased from X3.00
per day to $3.50 for each day he is enp loyed.
SECTION 5.
The salaries with the increases provided herein shall be
paid for services rendered from and after December 1st, 1947.
SECTION 6.
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are, to the extent of such conf°1ic t, hereby repealed.
SECTION 7.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect -from
and after its adoption.
