HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 11, Page 245, No Ordinance Number4- 24 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 4 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE POLICE DE- PARTIENT OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, PRESCRIBING THE QUAL- IFICATIONS, POWERS AND DUTIES AND FDCING THE COMPENSATION OF THE MEMBERS OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, PROVIDING A SEPARABILITY CLAUSE, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THERE'iJITH", WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON JANUARY 7, 1947, AS AMENDED BY AN ORDINANCE ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON FEBRUARY 11, 1947 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SEC TION 1. That Section 4 of an ordinance entitled: "AN ORDNANCE PRESCRIBING RULES AM REGULATIONS FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT OF THE (CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, PRESCRIBING THE 'QUALIFICATIONS, POWERS I AND DUTIES AND FZKING THE COMPENSATION OF THE MEMBERS OF THE POLICE (DEPARTMENT, PROVIDING A SEPARABILITY CLAUSE, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN"CONFLICT THERENITH", which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on January 4, 1947, as amended by an ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners on February 11, 1947, be and the same is hereby amended so that said Section as amended shall read as follows: "Section 4. Salaries and Rank of Regular Policemen. Regular policemen shall receive such salaries as may be provided for in the annual apportionment ordinance, or in any emergency appro- priation ordinance. The rank of the members of the police depart- ent and the salaries to be paid to them, provided said salaries re not changed by any annual apportionment ordinance hereinaftor dopted, shall be as follows: Position Number Monthly Salary (1) Chief of Police 1 $260.00 (2) Assistant Chief of Police 1 215.00 (3) Captains 6 200.00 (4) Lieutenants 4 .195.00 (5) Sergeants 6 190.00 (6) Policemen (Grade A) 20 185.00 (7) Policemen (Grade B) 4 175.00 The salaries at the aforesaid rates shall be paid for servic rendered from and after December 1st, 1947. SEC TION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith re, to the extent of such conflict, Hereby repealed. SECTION 3.
