HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 11, Page 244, No Ordinance Number244/ AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CONVEYANCE TO THE COUNTY OF McCRACKEN AND THE COMMONWEAL4ii OF KENTUCKY OF A STRIP OF LAND ON EACH SIDE OF THE OAKS ROAD AT ITS INTERSECTION SMITH THE FLOOD PROTECTION WALL FOR THE PURPOSE OF INCREASING THE (WIDTH OF SAID ROAD; AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A DEED OF CONVEYANCE TO SAID PROPERTY ` BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMI.IISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SEC TION 1. That the City of Paducah convey to the County of McCracken and the Commonwealth of Kentucky, a strip of land on each side of the Oaks Road at its intersection with the flood protection wall for the purpose of enabling said county and state to in- crease the width of said road, and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and empowered, for and on behalf of the City of Paducah, to execute and deliver to said county and state a deed of conveyance to the following described property: "All of that part of said tract which lies within a distance of 30 feet on the east or left side of the center line of said proposed public road, between the north property line at approximately Station 8154 and the south property line at approximately Station 8 406." "All of that part of said tract which lies within a distance of 30 feet on tYa west or right side of the center line of said proposed public road, between the north property line at approximately Station 8154 and the south property line at approximately Station 8408." SEC TI OIT 2.
