AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE CONSTRUCTION, INSTALLATION, ERECTION AND MAINTENANCE OF SIGNS AND BILLBOARDS WITHIN THE CITY OF PADUCAH" WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON OCTOBER 11, 1937 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CI`.[`Y OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Section 1 of an ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE REGULATING ThE CONSTRUCTION, INSTALLATION, ERECTION AND MAINTEIv'ANCE OF SIGNS AND BILLBOARDS WITHIN Thr. CITY OF PADUCAH", which was adoF by\the Board of Commissioners on October 11, 1937, be and the same is hereby amended so that said section as amended shall read as follows: SECTION L• PERI4ITS FOR SIGNS: Before establishing, erecting, constructing, altering or adding to any sign included and the Classification of signs, or causing, or permittinU same to be do excepting any sign which is wholly upon or extends over or across private property, a permit therefor shall be obtained from the Building Inspector, and it shall be unlawful to so establish, erect alter, or add to such signs before such permit shall have first bee obtained. CONSENT OF DEPARVENT OF INSPECTION, WHEN REQUIRED: Before a permit shall be issued for any sign included under the classifica of signs as herein provided, the Building Inspectbr shall be satisf that such building or structure is sufficiently strong to support s and that the support or bracing is safe and secure. ,VHEN PERMIT IS NOT REQUIRED: A permit will not be required for minor repairs which do not affect the construction or safety of the sign. SECTION 2.
