BE IT ORDAINED SY TIIE WARD OF C0141,7ISSIONERS OF THE CITY 0!- PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION ONE Upon the application of any employee of the City of Paducah appointed by the City Manager, accompanied by a cer-. tificate of a reputable physician that such employee, by rea- son of an injury sustained or an illness suffered by him, is physically unable to perform his duties, the City Manager is hereby authorized to Brant to such employee a sicU: leave with pay durinr, his disability provided the period or periods of such disability does not edceed twelve (12) days in any one year beginning January 1, and shall not be cumulative from year to year. SLC TION T.tiO Each employee of the City of Paducah appointed by the City Manager shall be entitled to a vacation period of two (2) weeks with pay during the year beginning January 1, 1947, and during each year thereafter if he has been in the service for one (1) year or longer prior to January 1 of the year in which the vacation is taken, and a vacation period of one (1) week with pay during the year beginning January 1, 1947 and during each year thereafter if he has been in the service less than one (1) year prior to January 1 of the year in which the vaca- tion is ta'cen. Provided, however, the time durinZ- which such vacations are to be taken shall be approved by the City Manager and the vacation periods provided herein shall not be cumulative.
