OPEP,TY LINE OF TERRELL STREET; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, FOR AND 0:? BEHALF OF SAID CITY, TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH SAID CO rPAISY, AND PRE- SCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS TO BE CONTAINED IN SAID CONTRACT BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF C01,11I3SIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCI:Y: SEC TI ON 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Ray Drew Constructior Company for clearing and -rubbing, excavating and backfilling of a sewer trench 817 linear feet in length along the north side of the Illinois Central Railroad Company tracks between 8th street and lOtl street from the existing 102" combination sewer Brest to the west property line of Terrell street, said nrll: to be done in accordance with snecificat:ions and blue prints on file in the office of the City En:�ineer at the City Eall in }aducah, Kentucky, and which specifications and blue prints shall be attached to and made a part of the contract for the perform,)nce of said work; and the Tlayor is hereby authorized and empowered, for and on behalf of the City of. Paducah, to enter :into and execute a contract in words and figures as follows, to -wit: "THAT for and in consideration of the amount set forth in the bid and proposal of the Contractor (meaning Ray Drew, doing business under the firm name of the Ray Drew Construction Company) and the compliance with all of the specifications prepared b;: the City Engineer, the Contractor hereby arees to perform all labor and furnish all machinery necessary for use in the clearin-- and grubbing, excavating an backfilling of a sewer trench 817 linear feet in length along the north side of the Illinois Central Railroad Company tracks between 8th street and 10th street from the existing 102" combination sewer west to the west property .line of Terrell street in accordance with the aforesaid specifications which are filed with and made a part of this contract to the same extent as if fully copied herein, the same being marked Exhibit "A", and also in accordance r:ith the blue prints prepared by T. A. Eradley, City En!Iineer, marked Exhibit "B". "It is understood and agreed that the Contractor shall execute and deliver to the City of Paducah a performance bond In the sum and substance provided for in the specifications, the same to be approved by the Mayor and the Attorney for the City of Paducah. 167 "It is further understood and agreed that the City of Paducah shall pay for said work at the time and in the manner provided in the aforesaid specifications." SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be introduced at a regular meting of Ithe Board of Commissioners and remain on file for one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put lupon its final passage, and if adopted it shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
