HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 11, Page 155, No Ordinance NumberAN MADINANCE AUrIiORIZING T -E TRANSFER OF FUNDS WHICH INILL NOT BE USED FOR TFIE PURPOSES PROVIDED UNDER THE APPORTIOIRIIENT ORDINANCE ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COir'II33IONERS OF THE CI'PY OF PADUCAH, KENTU IN THE YEAR 1947 FOR OTHER GOVMNMENTAL PURPOSES, AND SPECIFYING TH AMOUNT OF FUNDS SO TRAITSFERRED FROM EACH ACCOUNT UNDER THE APPORTIO. PIENT ORDINANCE OF 1947 AND THEE PURPOSES FOR -WHICH SUCH TRANSFERRED FUNDS WILL BE USED. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COIJ-;ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: 155 0 SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah transfer from Account 2371 for proper y revaluation, as provided under the apportionment ordinance adopted in the year 1947, the sum of :„10,000.00, from the Contingent Fund for said year, Account 1500, the sum of ?2589.25, and, from the account for payment of claims and judgments, Account 1400, the sum of ;;135 .90, or a total sum of :;13,941.15 and which total sum shall be used for the following other purposes and to supplement the following accounts, namely, for tje construction of a sewer line to the property of the Magnavox Company, Account 7600, :;;8000.00, to the Electric Plant Board supplementing funds previously appropriated to it under Account 730C, „1086.00, to the Colored Farb Board, supplementing funds previously appropriated to said Board under Account 4300, ;900.00, for payment of an increase in the Shar£.:aster' s salary under account 5644,;;;50.00, for payment of the salary of a clerk to the City Judge .temporarily employed under Account 3446, '3136.00., for payment of the salary of the Deputy Treasurer, in charge of purchasing and the collection of delin- quent licenses and taxes, under Account 2127, 875.00, to supplemen the funds provided for maintenance of the City Hall building, and appropriated under Account 5187 for the installation of a new boiler {2540.00 and for payment of the expense for maintaining the Faducah- McCracken Airport under Account 7400, :;454.15. SEC TION 2. That the wharfmaster employed by the city be paid an additional salary of ,'10.00 per month, the same to be effective from August 1st, 1947, and that upon the request of F. Parkman Feezor, the City Judge, the sum of .;;36.00 is to be used for the payment of a salary of a Clerk to be employed by him while the regular clerk is on her vacation. SEC TION 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized to cause to be published i the Sun Democrat a notice of the introduction of this ordinance and the proposal to make the aforesaid transfers of appropriations for the year 1947 to provide the sum of •;13,941.15 for the purposes set forth 156 Ln Section 1 of this ordinance, said notice to be published at Least one week before this ordinance shall be put upon its final passage. SEC TIOPP 4. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for public inspection until the transfer of funds as provided herein shall have been published as required by law and shall be put upon its final passage after such publication.
