A RESOLUTION EXEMPTING FROM MUNICIPAL TAXATION FOR A PERI( OF FIVE YEARS THE MANUFACTURING BUSINESS AND PROPERTIES OF "i DAVID C. ROGERS DOING BUSINESS UNDER THE FIRM NA14E AND STYLE OF THE SQUIRT BOTTLING COMPANY AT 800-802 SOUTH FIFTH STREET IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY "WHEREAS, David C. Rogers has entered into an agreement to purchase the real estate located at 800-802 South Fifth Street in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and will use the building at said location as a plant for the manufacture of carbonated beverages; and, WHEREAS, the said David C. Rogers has submitted his application for exemption from municipal taxation on said business and manufacturing properties at the above location; and, WHEREAS, it appearing from the application submitted by David C. Rogers that his plant is a bona fide manufacturing enter- prise , and under the statutes and trnder the ordinances of the cit; of Paducah, said applicant is entitled to exemption from municipal taxation for a period of five years as an inducement to the operation of said plant in the City of Paducah; NOW rHEREf ORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COT:TiISSIONER; OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KEPiTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the business of the said David C. Rogers doing busines under the firm name and style of the Squirt Bottling Company, the real estate locatdd at said address and all manufacturing propertie operated in connection with the manufacture of carbonated beverages at said location be exempt from the payment mo the City of Paducah of all license taxes and all ad valorem taxes, with the exception of taxes due and payable for school purposes, for a period of five years, the exemption from license taxes to begin January 1st, 1947, and the exemption from ad valorem taxes to begin with the assessments which will become due in the year 1948. SECTION 2. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
