That the City ,'.,anaEer be, and he is hereby authorized, for and on behalf of the City of Paducah, to enter into a contract with the Mid -Continent Petroleum Corporation for the purchase of D -g Ethyl Gasoline at posted tank wagon price at time of delivery less Federal Tax of 1& per gallon, less discount- of 1s per gallon, less discount of 1¢ per -a11on. In no event shall net price exceed 17.9p per gallon; also a contract with Sinclair Refining Company for the �Purchase of Sinclair Opaline I,Sotor Oil (Premium Grade) Sealed Drums at ;;:0.48 per gallon and also Sinclair Pennant I.:otor Oil, Sealed Drums, at :;;0.38 per Callon; said Gasoline and oil to be purchased upon the order of the City of Faducah for use in Covernmental operations for a period of four months beCinnir_': July 1, 1947, and upon the terms and conditions set forth in the .mitten bid of each company received and filed by the Z-oard of Commissioners on June 3, 1947, said terms and conditions as set forth in said bids beim referred to and made a part of this ordinance to the same extent as if fully copied herein. SEC T_IOA 2. The contracts under which said 9850line and oil will be Purchased shall fully provide that in the event of a decline in the retail price of said products at any time duting said period, the City shall be given the benefit of the reduction in price, and the City Manager shall include in said contract such additional terms and conditions as may be necessary to protect the intebests of the City of Paducah. SECTIM17 3. As the various departments of the City must be immediately supplied with gasoline and oil for the protection of the public hea th safety and welfare, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and th-.s 0 109 ordinance shall be in .[Lill force and effect from and after its adoption.
