OF ;2550.00; PRESCRIBING TIIE TERNS AND CONDITIONS U14 -DER u'AIICH SAID BID IS ACCEPTED; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE FOR THE CITY OF PADUCAII A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF SAID HOSE WHEREAS, the City of Paducah having requested bids for the purchase of 2.500 feet of 22 inch Single Jacket Fire Hose of proper size to fit couplings the City has on hand, and It appearing that the United States Rubber Company has submitted the best bid; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: I� i j SECTION 1. !! That the sum of 5,2550.00 be appropriated by the City of Paducah, Kentucky, for the purchase -of fire hose, and that the City of Paducah accept the bid of the United States Rubber Company through its Eureka Fire Hose Division, and the City Idanager is hereby authorized and empowered, for and on behalf Of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, to sign the following purchase order: "The undersigned, having full authority for purchasing, hereby accepts the above proposal and authorizes shipment of 2500 feet of 22 inch Multen 2 Ply Multiple Woven Fire Hose without couplings, at ,1.02 per foot, less a 2,; discount on the total purchase price if payment is made in cash within ten (10) days after delivery of said hose and its acceptance by the City. If hose is found not in accordance with above specifications, the purchaser hereby agrees to notify EUREKA FIRE HOSE division pf United States Rubber Company within 30 days from date of delivery of said hose to purchaser. If no notification is received li within the period stated above, it shall be deemed and considered that said hose has been accepted and the purchaser thereupon agrees further to pay for j said hose to the EUREKA FIRE HOSE division of the United States Rubber Company the sum of TWo Thousand Five Hundred Fifty ($2550.00) Dollars, subject to the 2$; discount for cash as above provided." SECTION 2. It being necessary to immediately purchase fire hose in order to protect the property of the City of Paducah and its citizens against loss by fire, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
