That II. G. McElwee, City L:anager of the City of Paducah, 1.cntucky, be and he is hereby authorized and empowered to receive i bids of Qualified Public Accountants for the preparation of an audit of all accounts of the city of padueah, said audit to be prepared in compliance with all of the provisions of Section h 89,650 of t! -,e Kentucky Revised Statutes. Each bid shall set forth the amount which the bidder proposes to charge for an audit and for preparing a report showing the result of an examination of all accounts of the city and of all of its officers, and for it furnishing the city in pamphlet form fifty (50) copies of said audit, one (1) to be published in the official newspaper and a I copy to be available to each voter who may apply for same at the i office of the City Tanager, and also for furnishing to said city ei,ht (3) conies of the transcript of the Auditors' work sheet, one copy to be received by the Eoard of Commissioners as a permanent record, one copy tn Le delivered to the I:ayor, to each of the members of the Broard of Commissioners, the City Aanager and the City Treasurer. SEC TION 2. Bids shall be received by the City ISanager not later than November 9th, 1943 at 10:00 o'clock A.M., and all bids must be j submitted under seal. He shall advertise for bids by notice poste at the city Hall door and by inserting notice of the request for 1 bids in at least one issue of the Sun -Democrat, said notice to be i i published at least seven (7) days prior to the opening of bids. No bid shall be received after the hour fixed for the opening i of said bids, and they shall be filed with the 13oard of Commissioners i who shall let the contract to the lowest responsible bidder. j I Each bid shall set forth the lowest amount which will be acceptable for nreparin'- an audit in accordance with Section 1 of this .1coofution. i i 913 SEC TIOIJ 3. I �i The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and shall not become legally liable or obligated to employ an auditor under the terms of this Resolution until the acceptance of a bid and the adoption of an ordinance authorizing the execution ofl a contract for such employment. SECTION 4. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
