LITTLE'S ADDITION TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AS SHOWN BY PLAT OF SAI: ADDITION OF RECORD IN PLAT BOOT: "A", PAGE 70, IN THE MCCRACKEN COU. COURT CLERK'S a FICE, AND H'OVIDING FOR THE CLOSING OF ALL OF THAT PORTION OF AN ALLEY 25.2 FEET IN INID`.5I LYING BETWEEN LOTS IIOS. 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16 IN BLOCK NO. 5 IN SAID ADDITION AND LOTS NO 42, 43, 44, 45 and 46 IN BLOCK NO. 5 OF SAID ADDITION; AND THAT TH, T.!AYOR AND CITY CLERK BE AUTHORIZED TO EXECUTE AND DELIVER TO THE FLOURNOY-PAXTON INVESTYEFT COI.IPA1TY A DEED OF CONVEYANCE TO THE AFORESAID PORTION OF SAID ALLEY 25.2 FEET IN 1I4ID9H )�_SVHEREAS, the Flournoy -Paxton Investment Company and R. L. Sanderson and his wife, Carrie S. Sanderson, have submitted to the City of Paducah, Kentucky, an instrument of writing which is in words and figures as follows, to-wat:'-/. "THAT V7HEREAS, the Flournoy -Paxton Investment Company, a corporation of the State of Kentucky, is seized of the legal title to Lots 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 42, 43, 44, 35 and 46 in Block 5 of J. W. Lit-tle's Addition to the City of Paducah, as shorn by plat of said Addition recorded in Plat Book "A", page 70, in the office of the County Court Clerk of I.IcCracken County, Kentucky, and has entered into a contract for the sale of said lots to R. L. Sandersc "WHEREAS, the said Flournoy -Paxton Investment Company and R.L.Sanderson and his wife, Carrie S. Sanderson, have offered to dedicate to the City of Paducah, Kentucky, to be perpetually used as a public alley a strip of land 16 feet in width running from Depot Street to the alley running from Blow Avenue to Little Avenue being the northerly 16 feet off of Lot No. 16 in Block No. 5 of said addition, and the alley to be dedicated for public purposes embracing the following described area: - "Beginning at a point on the 'lest side of Depot Street 74.7 feet North of the Northwest corner of the intersection of Blow Avenue and Depot Street; thence with the :est line of Depot Street and in a northwardly direction 16 feet; thence at right angles and in a 'i?estwardly direction along the line dividing Lots 16 and 17 in Block IIo. 5 of said addition to the east line of a 25.2 foot alley; thence at right angles and in a South- j wardly direction alon' the East line of said alley 16 feet; thence at right an, -les and in an Eastwardlyl direction to the point of Le-innin_ on Depot Street. "AND WHEREAS, the undersi,,ned are the owners of all of the property abutting upon the alley 25.2 feet in %:,idth runninu from Blow Avenue to the point where said alley intersects another alley runninZ from Little Avenue to Fulton ,street. 884 "NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the closing by the City of Paducah, Kentucky, of all of that portion of the aforesaid alley 25.2 feet in width lying between Lots #il, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16 in Block 5 of said addition and Lots Nos, 42, 43, 44, 45 and 46, in Block 5 of said addition, we hereby dedicate to the 'City of Fadu!cal I.entucky, the same to be )�Prpetually used as a public alley, the above described Northerly 16 feet oCf of Lot No. 16 in Block No. 5 of said addition, and v:e_agree that said 16 foot strip of ground may be immediately opened for use as a public alley. "We further understand and agree that vie will not sust, damages as a result of the closing of the aforesaid alley 25.2 (feet in width." AND (WHEREAS, the said Flournoy -Paxton Investment Company abd R..L.Sanderson and his wife Carrie S. Sanderson, are the owners of all of the property abutting upon the aforesaid alley to be closed; and, WHEREAS, the owners of said property agreeing that they will not sustain any damages as a result of the closing of that por- tion of said alley 25.2 feet in width; and, WHEREAS, it is therefore not necessary to institute suit in the McCracken Circuit Court for the purpose of having said alley) (legally closed. NOVI THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, i4s111TUCICY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, accept the offer of any Flournoy -Paxton Invesement Company and R.L.Sanderson and his wife, Carrie S. Sanderson, to dedicate as a public alley the above described Northerly 16 feet off of Lot No. 16 in Block No. 5 of said addition,( and that all of that portion of the aforesaid alley 25.2 feet in width lying between Lots Nos. 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16 in Block Io 5 of said addition and Lots id os. 42, 43, 44, 45 and 46 in Block Not 5 of said Addition, be and the same is hereby vacated and closed and same shall no longer be used as a public alley; and the Mayor and C: Clerk are hereby authorized to execute and deliver to the Flournoy - Paxton Investment Company a deed of conveyance to the aforesaid portion of said alley 25.2 feet in width. SECTION 2.
