OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to enter into and execute for and on behalf of the city of Paducah a ' �6.Iyj�5' contract with an Attorney for the collection and recovery by suit of any taxes which may be due the City of Paducah upon omitted property. Said Attorney shall institute and prosecute such suits i as may be necessary to recover taxes upon property omitted from I assea'sments, subject to taxation by the City of Paducah for any i and all of the past five (5) years. The compensation 6or his services shall be an amount equal to one-third of whatever taxes, j penalties and interest are actuallg recovered by him or through proceedings instituted or prosecuted by him for the City of Paducah'; but the r ate of compensation shall attach only to the taxes, interest and penalties and that pap of same which belongs to the City and form a part of its revenue and income, but shall not attach to any taxes, penalties and interest recovered for, the benefit of the I Board of Education or the 3lnking Funds, or for any other i independent or separate purposes whore the city itself is required j to collect and pay over such taxes for such independent agencies i or purposes. SECTION 2. Said Attorney shall each thirty (30) days after his empboyment hereunder render an itomized statement of all cases -nd claims on which he is contemplating the commencement of act_ond or proceedings for assossment of property or recovery of taxes, which report shall show the name and residence of each person, fir. or corporation claimed to bo liable for such taxes and w.il'nh ❑tatemont shall be verified under oath. The person employed shall be D regular practicing , Attorney of the City of Paducah, and his employment may be terminated by the City Clanger at any time. In the event his employment is terminated, the right of said attorney to such conpensation no nay be due upon all items of taxable property In any action or proceeding commenced by him prior to the i termination of his contract of employment shall not be affected.
