HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 10, Page 816, No Ordinance Number816 IAN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING TIIE CITY 14ANAGER TO ENTER INTO AND EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF GASOLINE AIM i OIL I ROM THE PHILLIPS PETROLEUM COMPAITY, FOR A PERIOD OF FOUR (4) MONTHS FROTA FEBRUARY" 15TH, 1943, AND PRESCRIBING THE TER TAS UNDER WHICH SAID PURCHASES SHALL BE MADE I BE IT ORDAINED BY TIIE BOARD OF COMEII35IONERS OF THE CITY OFPADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SEC TION 1. That the City h4anager be, and he is hereby authorized to i enter into and execute with the Phillips Petroleum Company a contract for the purchase by the City upon its order the gasoline and oil required for all governmental operations during a period of i four (4) months from F'ebrua'ry 15th, 1943, said contract to contain) I the following terms, conditions and covenants: - "The Company hereby agrees to sell and deliver to I the City upon its order the gasoline and motor oil required for all governmental operations during a ooriod of four (4) months from February 15th, 1943, at the following process i Gasoline . . . . . ..14� per gallon First Grade I;otor Oil- .40p per gallon Second Grade Motor Cil . . . . . .26� per gallon "Payment shall be made by the City on or about the first of each month for the amount of products sold and delivered during the preceding month. "in consideration of the Agreement of the City to purchase of the Company all of the gasoline and motor oil re- quired for use during the aforesaid period, the Company agrees that in the event of a general advance in the retail price of gasoline or motor oil at any time during the aforesaid period, the Company's obligation to sell and deliver gasoline and oil I at the aforesaid prices shall remain and continue in full force I and effect, but in the event of a decline in the retail price of either of said products, the City shall be Eiven the benefit of the reduction in price." SECTION 2.
