READY TO COI1,TENCE UJORK ON SAID ILIPROVE12NT AS OF WE DATE OF THE ADOPTION OF THIS ORDINANCE WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners has heretofore adopted an ordinance providing for the construction and reconstruction of said drivewayunder the terms of said Act aforesaid and , pursuant � to its provisions; and, j ':.gIEREAS, work is now ready to begin on said construction and one-half of the estimated cost thereof is now due to be paid t6 the city Treasurer, . i i NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED h'f ^HLA' LOARD OF COMi,1ISSION£RS i OF TIIE CITY OF PADUCAI' , KENTUCKY: G88 SECTION 1. I That all of the property on both sides of 5th Street from the South property line of Tennessee Street to the north property line of Jones Street in the City of Paducah, McCracken County, Kentucky, as shown by estimates on file in the Engineers office in the City Hall in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be and the same is hereby assessed for the cost of construction of said paved street with all necessary curbs, gutters, driveways, manholes, inta'_ces, catch basins, sewer and drain pipes and all necessary engineering, equipment, advertising and legal and clerical services in connection therewith, the portion of said cost of improvement required to be paid by said property owners shall be the following amount per front foot; to -wit: Total cost against the property owners between Tennessee and Jones Streets is ;12.05 per abutting foot; that all of I said estimates are on file in the office of the Engineering Depart-, ment in the City Hall, and are referred to and made a part hereof.', SEC TIOP: 2. That one-half of said assessment as against each lot as shown by said assessment and estimate of said engineer is now due and unless paid within ten (10) days after the adoption of this ordinance there shall be added thereto a penalty of 61/"� and a lien is declared to exist upon said lots and parcels of real estate for the portion; of cost of said improvement so assessed as herein provided, and the I, amount of said assessment shall bear interest upon any part thereof that remains unpaid for ten (10) days after same is due to be paid. at the rate of G% per annum in addition to the penalties aforesaid, which lien shall be superior to all other liens except the lien for State, County and City taxes. SECTION 3. i The publication of this ordinance shall be notica to all persons interested and due to pay said Assessment, of the time and `lace to pay the same. Said Assessment will be paid one-half within ten (10) days from the publication of this ordinance, and the other one-half will be paid when the Board of Commissioners shall declare by ordinance or resolution, that said work and said improvement has been one-half completed. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption. That the City of Paducah acceptthe offer of Lynn ynn Ltartin in the sum of yr600.00, ;80.00 to be paid im cash and the balance of ;;400.00 to be paid in monthly installments of ..A5.0O each, for the purchase of certain property located on Boyd Street between 10th and 11th Streets and known as 1017 Boyd Street, in the City of Paducah, jKentucky, and the 1.Sayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and 'empowered to execute, for and on behalf of the City of Paducah, a deed under which said property shall be conveyed with Covenant of Special rtarranty of Title and subject to any encroachments or defects which an accurate survey miEht show. SECTION 2.
