AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF NORTH AMERICAN
SALT, FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF ITS REQUIREMENT OF ROCK SALT, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City accepts the bid of North American Salt, to sell
\,. rock salt to the City for use on city thoroughfares for the remainder of 2002 and calendar
year 2003, with a one-year option to renew; said bid being in substantial compliance with
the bid specifications, and as contained in the bid of North American Salt of January 15,
2002, for the following prices:
DESCRIPTION UNIT PRICE
Rock Salt Tons $38.99 - delivered
Rock Salt Tons $36.99 - pickup
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute a
contract with North American Salt, for sale to the City of rock salt authorized in Section 1
above.
SECTION. 3. This purchase shall be charged to various accounts as
necessary.
SECTION. 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
