A. 6rucken r, Son, Evansville, Indiana - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 877.50 Parle 598 (12) Paducah Tent 3: Awning Company Paducah, Kentucky - - - - - - - - - - - - - - y- 355.80 (13) Surgical Sellin„ Company Atlanta, Ga. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 557.50 And that each of the aforesaid bids be accepted upon the condition that each of said lessors will enter into with the City of Paducah a Contract, Lease and Option under the terms of which each of said Lessors, in consideration of the sum of 165.00 to be paid in cash, will lease to the City until January 15th, 1942 the property described in its bid; that each of said lessors shall further .rant unto the City the riht and option to renew said lease upon the property described therein ',einnine January 15th, 1942, and continuing for a period of twelve (12) months, by the payment to said I lessor of a sum equal to one-fourth of the purchase price for I said property, and by payment of eleven (11) monthly rental :installments in an amount equal to one -eighteenth (118) of the remainder of said purchase price after the aforesaid in- stallment due on January 15th, 1942 shall have been paid, the first of said rental installments to become due on February 15th, 1942, and an installment in a like amount to become due on the 15th day of each and every consecutive month thereafter. Said lessor shall further Zrant unto the city the ri;,,ht and option to renes said lease for a further term of seven (7) months beginning January 15th, 1943, at a monthly rental in an amount equal to one -eighteenth (116) of the remainder of said purchase or.ce after the aforesaid installment due on January 15th, 1942 shall have been paid, and a payment in a like amount to become due on the 15th day of each and every consecutive month thereafter, and in the event the city ex- ercises its options for renewal of said lease and shall pay in rentals an amount equal to the purchase price for said property, the rentals thus paid shall be in full satisfaction I: and settlement of the purchase price for said property and the lessor shall sell, assign and transfer to the City of Paducah by bills of sale or other proper instruments of wri tin_; all of its [' rizht, title and interest in and to said property, free and clear of all liens, claims and encumbrances of every kind. Each of said leases shall further provide that t`ie renewal thereof in the year 1942 may be exercised br payment to the Lessor on January 15th, 1942 of a sum equal to one-fourth i of the purchase price of said property, and the option for renowal of said lease in the year 1943 may be exercised by payment to the 01 Pa,e 599 Illessor of the first of the monthly rental installments to become due on January 15th, 1943, which rental installment shall be in an amount equal to one -eighteenth (1%12) of the remainder of the pur- chase price after the installment due on January 15th, 1942 shall have been paid. Provided, however, that in the event the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah shall, upon the adoption of the annual aooropriation ordinance in either the year 1942 or the year 1943, fail to make provision for payment of an amount sufficient for renewal of said lease in either year, said lease from and after the last date on which a rental in- stallment eras paid shall be on no further bindin effect upon the City. Each of said leases shall contain the additional terms,c onditions and provisions set out in the bids and in the advertisement under which bids were requested, and the ,:ayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and emoowered, .for and on behalf of the City of Paducah, to enter into and execute , .lease with each of the above named lessors in accordance with the orovisions of this ordinance. SECTI011 3. In order to provide adequate hospital facilities for the care and treatment of charity patients, and to thereby promote and protect the oublic health and safety of the citizens of the City of Paducah, an emer3ency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption. !.:ayor— I\— Passed by the Board of Commissioners, October 14th, 1941 Recorded by Rudy Stewart, City Clerk, October 15th, 1941.
