That all of that portion of Clark Street from the center line of the flood protection gall in Section "P" as shown on the plat off' said flood protection wall on file in the office of the City i.ana;er i of Paducah, Kentucky, and in the office of the U. S. hq�ineers in Paducah Kentucky, to the low water marl of the Ohio :liver, to. -eche with all of that oortion of First Street S'rom the South side of lashin ton Street to the South side of Clark Street in the C_ ty of Paducah, Kentucky, be and the same are hereby vacated ami closed; 513 and the Corporation Counsel is hereby ordered and directed to in- stitute in the "cCradken Circuit Court a suit for the purpose of carrying into effect the provisions of this ordinance. Provided, however, the City of Paducah shall retain an easement in, thror7h ! and over said streets at any location therein :here, in the oninio r of the le;islative body, any portion of said streets is necessary for use in tine h ging of neer city sewers and water connections, or for the maintenance of sewers and ;tater connections now con- structed in said streets, and the closing of said streets shall not operate to divest the city of its ri;ht of inZress and eress in said streets along a strip of land ,urallel to the center line of said flood ;;all right of way and twenty-five (25) feet riverwar therefrom, for the purpose of constrv.ctin; and maintaining said flood protectioY w all.
