SECTION 2.
That all the cost incident to said construction of said street j
s orovided in Section 1 hereof, except that part wlich shall be pJid by
lie r'ederal or State government shall be paid for wholly by the prop-
arty owners of property abuttinr- or frontin_, upon such improvement
on both sides of said street, and to be. apportioned to and assessedl
n_.ai ns t said abutt; nS prooert as provided in Section 1 hereof.
S=CTI01i 3.
Vihen said work has been commenced, the Foard of Commissioners
with the advice of the City EnTineer shall cause to be liven to thel
owners of said property abuttin _ upon such improvement so _✓roposed
to be made, a notice b, the publication of an ordinance or resolution

that said work has corunenced, and upon the publication of such
resolution or ordinance the owners of such abn.ttin- property shall
immediately pay to the C'.ty Treasurer the ainount; of one-half of the
estimated cost of such improvement as may be appropriated to said
respect.i-ve :Lots so abuttinC, thereupon, and when sa:ld work has been i.
half completed said Foard of Commissioners shall likewise publisl, a
resolution or ordinance ivin3 notice of the half completion thereof,
and requirinm the oe;ners of the abuttin;; property thereon to pay into

the City Treasury the other one-half of said cost of said improve:rie,nt
so to be assessed against said property and apportioned thereto as
aforesaid, and which payments shall be made immediately upon the
publication of such notices as herein provided.
SECTION 4.
This ordinance shall be introduced at a regular meeting of the
hoard of Cornmissioners, and remain on file for not less than one
(1) weelc for public inspect:i.on in :its completed form inw'aich it
shall be put upon its final passae, and upon its adoption it shall
be in fill force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
