HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 10, Page 393, No Resolution NumberPage 3� A RESOLUTION AMENDING SECTION 2 OF A RESOLUTION ENTIPLED: "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SELL TO THE IiIGHEST BIDDER AT PUBLIC AUCTION ALL REAL ESTATE WHICH THE CITY OF PADUCAH HAS PURCHASED OR MAY HEREAFTER PURCHASE AT SALES HELD BY THE MASTER COMNfISSIONER FOR THE SATISFACTION OF LIENS FOR TAXES, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS UNDER 11HICH SAID PROPERTY SHALL BE SOLD", WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON THE 26TH DAY OF MARCH, 1940 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Section 2 of a Resolution entitled: "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SELL TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER AT PUBLIC AUCTION ALL REAL ESTATE'VEICH 'THE CITY OF PADUCAH HAS PURCHASED OR KAY HEREAFTER PURCHASE AT SALES HELD BY _SHE MASTER COMMISSIONER FOR THE SATISFACTION OF LIENS FOR TAXES, AND PRESCFIBING THE TERMS UNDER WHICH SAID PROPERTY SHALL BE SOLD", which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on the 26th day of March, 1940, be and the same is hereby amended so that said Section as amended will read as follows: "Section 2. Before proceeding with the sale of any Property which the City of Paducah has acquired at sales held by i the Master Commissioner for satisfaction of liens for taxes, the i City Manager shall advertise the time, terms and place thereof by posting up at the City Hall Door and also at the Court House Door a written notice of said sale for at least ten (10) days preceding the date of sale. The City Manager shall in addition thereto. advettise the time, terms and place of same by such other newspaper, notice or other advertisement as he may deem necessary. SECTION 2. All resolutions and parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are to the extent of such conflict hereby repealed. SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in fullf orce and effect from and after its adoption.
