WHEREAS, under the plans of procedure approved for the .Paducah :Mood Miall Project, it is contemplated that the .0200,000.00 proceeds of the bond issue sold by the City of Paducah for the purpose of providing funds for the purchase of r Qht of way could if necessary be supplemented by the Federal Government to the extent of such amount not exceeding 0160,030.00 as might be required for the acquisition of the necessary right of way upon which to construct the Paducah Flood 'a11, and, WHEREAS, under the plans of procedure it is necessary that the City expend or firmly obligate all of its funds before Federal funds can be made available and at such time as call for Federal funds is made it is necessary that the City certify to the District Engineer of the Louisville District the obligation of its funds and the nebd for additional funds, together with citation of reason for such call, and, & EMS, request has heretofore been made for Fed- eral funds and 1:50,300.00 in said funds have been advanced through the office of the District Engineer, and, IiHERLAS, funds in addition thereto are how required NOW, IREkLFOhE, BE IT RESOLVED, that it .is hereby certified to the District Engineer of the Louisville District that the City of Paducah has expended to October 5, 1940, in acquisition of right of way the sum of 5;241,494.98 and that it has firmly obligated itself for the acquisition of further and other rlCht of clay in the sum of 025,661.26, and that there exist obli,Cations not yet binding upon the cit;;, represented by options not yet exercised by the City and not yet approved by the nistrict En_;ineer for ri.aht of way, in the sum of ' 10,844,00. The a Zregate amount expenses o'bli_;ated, and of obligations not yet bindinC equals '36,505.28, which exceeds by (26,103.46 the sum of 5251,016.80 beam; the Cityls V200,000.00 plus interest and the proceeds derived from the sale of certain properties by the City, and the "50,000.00 Federal funds heretofore advanced.
