HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 10, Page 337, No Resolution NumberPage 337 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ACTION OF THE DEPUTY FIRE MARSHALL FOR THE CONDEMNATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY AND PREMISES WHERE FIRE HAZARDS EXIST IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND REQUESTING THE DEPUTY FIRE MARSHALL TO TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION FOR THE REMOVAL OF SUCH HAZARDS THAT WHEREAS, under a letter of Levi Baker, Deputy Fire Marshall of the State of Kentucky, dated September 13th, 1940, said fire Marshall advises that he has served notices ordering that certain property be repaired or razed, said orders to be complied with by the following named property owners: William Jackson, property at 441 South 6th Street to either I; r y be repaired or raized within 60 days. Mrs. E. L. Nickles, 115 East 12th Street, Little Rock, Ark., property at 501 South 6th Street to be repaired within 60 days. T. A. Miller, Agent (Gallman property) property at 12th & Burnett, repair brick business building and raze the two frame out -buildings. Mss. Charles Tumlin, property on Miller Street near 28th, flue to be torn down and rebuilt from the ground up. Mrs. Carrie Rudy, 609 Kentucky Avenue, frame garage in rear of 609 Kentucky Avenue and brick garage in rear of Terrell Apartments to be raced within 30 days. AND WHEREAS, said deputy Fire Marshall has requested the adoption of a Resolution by the Board of Commissioners approving I i the condemnation of the above described property, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLIBED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah approve the action to be taken by the Deputy Fire Marshall for the condemnation of the above described• property by requiring the buildings thereon to be either repaired, torn down or demolished, and he is requested to cause the conditions on said premises to be remedied in such manner as will, in his opinion, insure the safety of such buildings against fire. SECTION This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
