A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITZ ;;TANAGER TO SELL
TO THE HIGIIEST BIDDER AT PUBLIC AUCTION MISCELLANEOUS ARTICLES
OF BRASS, IRON, COPPER AND STEEL WHICH HAVE ACCUMULATED BY 1HE
DISMANTLING OF FIRE TRUCKS AND OTHER EQUIP14TNT, AND PRESCRIBING
THE TERMS UNDER VMICH SAID ARTICLES SHALL BE SOLD
BL IT -RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COI,:T,1ISSIONERS OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, IENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That the City 1,1anager be, and he is hereby authorized
to sell to the highest bidder at public auction all of the
miscellaneous articles of brass, iron, copper and steel which
has accumulated as a result of the dismantling of fire Erucks
and other equipment. Before proceeding with such sale, he shall
advertise the time, terms and place thereof by posting upon the City
Hall door a written notice of such sale for at least ten (10)
days proceeding the date thereof, and in a ddition thereto, he shall
advertise the time, terms and place of said sale by inserting
notice thereof, together with a description of the property to
be sold in the Sun -Democrat for at least three (3) days next
preceeding the date of sale. The purchaser of the above described
property shall be required to pay* the purchase price in cash.
SECTION 2.
The acceptance of any and all bids shall be subject to
the approval of the Board of. Commissioners, and no bid shall
be acceptable unless and until it has been confirmed by said
board.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption. )
