CI;IBIITG7-1 i:�A icTER Z`1 ',:�IICII SUCH BIDS SiIALI, LE RECEIVED. 71HBREAS, the new Rivers: de I:ospital is nearing completion and it is necessary to purchase miscellaneous furnlshings in ordcr ito provide adenuarc fac,lities for the case of patients therein; ii NO%W, THEREFORE, BE IT_' RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF CO'TISSIONERS OF THE CI FI OF PADUCAH, I zlITUCIY: SECTION 1. 11 That James P. Smith, City Lanager of the City of Paducah, !be, and he is hereby authorized for and on b ehalf of said city to i receive bids for tae purchase of furnishings to be used in the neer Riverside Hospital, said funnishings being more particularly described in the a ttached statement of specifications, and which I statement is made a part hereof to the save extent as if fully copie herein. SECTION 2. For the purpose of carrying this resolution into effect, the !I City 1•:ana6er is authorized and directed to advertise for and accept all bids under seal, and which bids shall not be opened until '10:00 A.M. on the day oet for receiving such }ids, or at such otheri i hour as may be determined for the receiving and opening of bids; i .;and all of said sealed bids or proposals shall be filed by the City "anager with his re,,ort and recommendation. No bid shall be received after the hour fixed for opening same. The City Danager shall advertise in such manner as may be deemed advisable for the receipt of bids, and the opening of bids shall not occur within ten (10) days from the date of such advertisement. Each bidder shall set forth the lowest cash price, and the lowost price if payment is made by the city in tmolve (12) equal monthly installments without charging any interest on the purchase price. SECTIO:: 3. The city reserves the right to reject any and all bids, end shall not become legally liable or obligated to purchase said furnishings as proposed under the terms of this resolution uitil thel acceptance of a bid or bids and the adoption of an ordinance i authorizing the execution of a contract or other z:r=ting for the purchase of said furnishings.
