WHEREAS, under a fiesolution adopted by the : oard of

Commissioners on the 13th day of January, 1940, James P.Stith, Cit
I'anaZer of the City of Paducah, was authorized to receive bids in
the a-Zregate sum of not more than "4000.00 for the purchase of
fire hose to be used in the Fire Department of the City of Paducah
and to report in writing the amount o each bid submitted to him,
toCether with his recommendation as to which of said bids should
be accepted; and,

ire -Tose Company amountinZ to Three Tnousand Six hundred (?,3,600)
Dollars is the lowest and best bid submitted as provided under

sum of Three Thousand Six Hundred (13,600.00) Dollars for the
purchase of 4000 feet of fire hose to be used in the Fire Departme
of the City of Paducah, be, and the same'is hereby accepted upon
the condition that said Company =-1 comply with all of the terms.
and conditions set out in the necspaper notice under which bids
:ere requested, and the City -anager is hereby authorized, empower
and directed, for and on behalf of the City of Paducah, to enter
into and execute a contract for payment of the aforesaid purchase
price in installments of " 60.00 per month, :iithout the char�;ins
of interest on any part of the purchase price, the first
