23rd, 1940, bc and tte same is hereby amended so that
said section as amended shall read as follows;
Nection 1. That the City :nnaGer be, and he is hereby
empowered and Directed to esotre the Fire Deoartment of the
City of Paducah to its former stren3th by employing in said
department until April 1st, 1940, ei;ht (8) additional me ' n,
their employment to b ecome effective as of January 25th, 1940,
and in carryinC this ordinance Into effect, he shall place on
active duty those men eligible for employment under tie rules and
regulations of the fire department and the Civil Service rules and
reZulations governing cities of the second class".
SECT C? 2.
This ordinance shall Ve in fullforce and effect
from and after its adoption.
