BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COI✓U,IISSIOPTERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Section 2 of an ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE REGULATING SECOND-I1i9ND DEALERS, AUTOMOBILE INRECKING DEALERS, JUNK MERCHANTS AND PERSONS ENGAGED IN THE BUSINESS OF BUYING AND SELLING, SHIPPING AND DEALING iN USED OR SECOND-HAND I.TETAL, I,!ACHINERY, FURNITURE AIM ANY OTHER KIND OF I.IF,'RCHAIMISE, AND PRESCRIBING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF", which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky on December 31, 1937, be amended so that said Section as amended shallr ead as follows: "Section 2. Every applicant for a license or permit to operate a second-hand business, or the business of buying, selling, shipping and dealing in used or second-hand merchandise of every kind or nature, including automobile parts, furniture, clothes, jewelry, duns, plumbing, pipe fittings, copper wire, windows, doors, window frames, doc frames, fire orates and backs and radios, shall at the time of making application therefor, execute and deliver to the Clerk of said city, an agreement that he will prepare and furnish to the Police Depart- ment of the City of Paducah, a true and correct daily report concerning the purchases by him and which agreement shall be attached to the application as a part thereof and shall be in the following fo m: "I hereby state that my business conducted at in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, shall be operated in a quiet, orderLy and law abiding manner, that I agree to make a true and correct daily report on a form or forms provided by the Police Department, said forms to be furnished and delivered to me for this purpose by the Police Department, and upon completion of the dayls purchases these reports will be turned over to the Chief of Police or any member of his department designated toeall for same, and that upon receipt of same at police headquarters stolen merchandise found to have been purchased by me will be produced for inspection upon request of its ovmer on authority of the Chief of Police.
