HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 10, Page 1556, No Ordinance Number1556 j AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF UNUSED FUNDS APPRO- PRIATED FOR CERTAIN PURPOSES UNDER THE ArPORTIONMENT ORDINANCE ADOPTED IN 1946 TO OTHER iURPOSES AND ALSO APPROPRIATING FOR SUCH OTHER PURPOSES AVAILABLE REVENUES ;9HICH WERE NOT INCLUDED IN THE BUDGEV AND APPORTIONMENT ORDINANCE FOR SAID YEAR WHEREAS, it appearing from the letter and the report of the City Treasurer dated December 17, 1946 that the City of Paducah has expended for certain purposes and will expend for such purposes during the year 1946 amounts in excess of the sums appropriated for such purposes, and that the total expenditures for said year will exceed k590,229.68, the total sum heretofore apportioned for general governmental expense, by $21,544.87; and, WHEREAS, it further appearing from said report that the City of Paducah has not and will not expend for certain other purposes the total amounts appropriated for such purposes under the aforesaid apportionment ordinance, and that the unused appropriations for such purposes will amount to approximately :P13,110.75, the same being itemized as follows: Account Number 316 Sundry Donations $975.00 518 Contingent Fund 10,000.00 522 Salary, Deputy Assessors 1,000.00 705-B Salary, Patrolman of Weights and measures 835.75 806 Salary, Class "A" Firemen 300.00 Total 2,13,110.75 AND, WHEREAS, the sum which the City of Paducah will collect in fines will amount to approximately 5$8,434.12 in excess of the amount anticipated for said year; and, WHEREAS, the aforesaid unused appropriations and the avail- able revenues in fines which were not anticipated will amount tb the total sum of approximately $21,544.79, or an amount sufficient for payment of the deficits in the aforesaid appropriations which have and will be exceeded; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION ONE That additional amounts in the aggregate sum of $21,544.74 be appropriated for the purposes specified below and the City Treasurer is hereby authorized to transfer the sum of 1613,110.75 from the aforesaid unused appropriations and to abply the sum of $8,434.12 representing revenues not heretofore anticipated to the following appropriations: 1557 ACCT NOI$ENCLATURE NO GENE AL GOVERNMENT 103 Sal o City Stenog 105 Supplies -adv -etc 106 Ten &Il Telegraph 107 Subscriptions & Dues 110 Waterllrentals MAINTENANCE & IMPROVEI-ENT OF CITY HALL 200 Sal -J nitor & Firemen 202 Repai4s to Bldg -Boiler -Etc 203 Misc Ilaterials & Supplies 205 Water IlRentals 206 Repairs to City Prop ASSOCIATIONS & DONATIONS 310 Parks IWhit e 310-A SwirrrmIng Pool LEGAL DEPT 405 Legal Services -Back Taxes FINANE DEPT 514 Offic Equip 525 Advertising 518-A Family,' Service 519 Elec nspections 521 Pad Mnicipal Housing Comm PUBLIC HEALTH DEPT 602 Dog Inoculations 615 Healt 11 Center POLIC DEPT 704-A Sal- P1trolmen "Ar' 706-A Sal -J dges Secretary 708 Equip& Supplies 709 rdaint Autos & Mtr Cycles 711 Gas & Oil 713 Stationery -Stamps -Mise 714 Feedir}�g Prisoners 718 Office Expense -Police Judge 720 Sal-Dqg Catcher FIRE IEPT 802 Sal of Captains 803 Sal of Lieutenants 810 Misc- ores & Supplies 811 Gas & IOil 812 Laundry 813 Lighti-Cas-Phone-Misc STREE. SEC TION THREE All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict here- with are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed. SECTION FOUR This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
