HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 10, Page 1550, No Ordinance Number1550 ✓ �p�4 i.rwL ARG 0✓�6-�+46 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION ONE OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED: K�O/3�6F /S�tS "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT WITH BLACK AND VEATCH, CONSULTING ENGINEERS, FOR THE PREPARATION OF PLANS FOR STORM RELIEF SEWERS IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND APPROPRI ATING THE SUM OF NOT EXCEEDING $14,000.00 FOR THE SERVICES TO BE RENDERED BY THEM IN THE PREPARATION OF SAID PLANS", WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON NOVEMBER 26, 1946. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SEC TION ONE That Section One of an ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT WITH BLACK AND VEATCH, CONSULTING ENGINEERS, FOR THE PREPARATION OF PLANS FOR STORM RELIEF SEWERS IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF NOT EXCEEDING $14,000.00 FOR THE SERVICES TO BE RENDERED BY ThEM IN THE PREPARATION OF SAID PLANS", which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on November 26, 1946, be and the same is hereby amended so that Subsection Two of Paragraph "B" of the con- tract copied into said ordinance shall read as follows: "B: The City agrees to: 2. To pay the Engineers for the services outlined in Paragraph A-1 through A-6 above, a sum equal to two percent (2a) Eif the agreed estimated construction cost as determined in Paragraph A-5 above provided that the total sum paid the Engineers by the City for this work shall in no case exceed fourteen thousand dollars (6,14,000.00) and provided further that this sum shall be paid by the City solely from advanced planning funds received for this purpose from the Federal Works Agency, Bureau of Community Facilities for such purposes,,> and said sum shall be payable in a lump sum upon delivery of the plans, etc., to the City." SECTION TWO This amended ordinance shall be introduced at a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners and remain on file for public inspec- tion one (1) week in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted it shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
