ASHTON, DOING BUSINESS UNDER THE FIRM NA14F AND STYLE OF THE ACE MANUFACTURING COMPANY, AT 2601 BROADWAY IN THE CITY OF PADUC AH, KEiN TUCK Y WHEREAS, Fred E. Ashton has become the o:,ner of the real esta located at 2601 Froadway in the City of raducah, Kentucly, togeth with the machinery formerly used by Albert Kraus in connection tiri the operation of a machine shop in the building located upon said property; and, 71HEREAS, THe said Fred B. Ashton has moved from St. Louis, Mis his machinery for manufacturing pharmaceutical dies and post offic equipment at 2601 Broadway in Paducah, and will be engaged in the business of manufacturing new products at said location; and, FfHEREAS, the said Fred B. Ashton, doing business under the fir name and style of the Ace Manufacturing Company, has submitted his application for exemption from municipal taxation on his business and manufacturing_ properties at the above location; and, WHEREAS, it appearing from the application submitted by the as Fred E. Ashton that this plant is a bona fide manufacturing enter- prise and that the products he will manufacture are entirely new, and, 'WHEREAS, it further appearing that under the statutes and also under the ordinances of the City of Paducah, said applicant is en- titled to exemption from taxation for a period of fige years as an inducement to the operation of said business in the �'ity of Paduca ; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMI!13SIONERB OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: QEC TION 1. That the business of Fred B. Ashton, doing business under the name and style of the Ace Manufacturing Company, the real estate by him and all manufacturing properties owned and operated in his manufacturing business at 2601 Broadway in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be exempt from the payment to the City of Paducah of all license taxes and all ad valorem taxes, with the exception of taxes due and payable for school purposes, for a period of five years, the exemption from license taxes to beCin January 1, 1947, and the exemption from ad valorem taxes to begin w th the assessmonts which would 'become due in the year 1948. d 1521 SECTION 2.
