That Charles A. -5111 ms, City Tanager of the City of Paduca Kentucky, be and he is hereby authorized and empowered to receive bids of Qualified Public Accountants for the preparation of an audit of all accounts of the City of Paducah, said audit to be Prepared in compliance with all of the provisions of Section 189,550 of the Kentucky Revised Statutes. Each bid shall set forth the amount virnich the bidder proposes to charge for an audit land for preparing a report showing the result of an examination Of all accounts of the city and of all of its officers, and for furnishing the city in pamphlet form fifty (50) copies of said audit, one (1) to be published in the official newspaper and a copy to be available to each voter rho may apply for same at the office of the City I.:anager, and also for furnishing to said city ei.mht (8) copies of the transcript of the Auditor's work sheet, one copy to be received by the =card of Commissioners as a permanent record, one copy to be delivered to the '.:ayor, to each of the members of the board of Commissioners, the City .ana3er and the City Treasurer. SEC TION 2. Eids shall be received by the City ,tanager not later than November 25th, 1946 at 10:00 otclock A.I;., and all bids must be submitted under seal. He shall advertise for bids by notice post at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the request for bids in at least one issue of the Sun -Democrat, said notice to be published at least seven (7) days prior to the opening of bids. No bid shall be received after the hour fixed for the opening of said bids, and t`iley shall be filed with the Board of Comnissio. 1 --rho shall let the contract to the lowest responsible bidder. itEach bid shall set forth the 10:1cot amount :jhich will be acceptab: I�for preparing; an audit in accordance with Section 1 of this Resolution. 1505 JLC TI OAT 3, The City reserves the riZht to reject ,ny and all bids, and shall not b,come legally liable or obligated to employ an audil,or under the terms of this Resolution until the acceptance of a bid a d the adoption of an ordinance authorizing the execution of a contra:t for such employment,. SEC TION 4.
