BE' IT RESOLVED B Y THE i OARD OF 00Id?JI63IONCRS OF THE CI9Y OF PADUCAH, KENTUCIU: SEC TIOII 1. That the City I'•anager be, and he is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for the purchase and installation of a now steam boiler for the heating of the City Hall, the central fire station, together with the police garage. Each bidder shall submit his lowe t offer for furnishing and installing a steel boiler, together with a-1 necessary connections, as well as his lowest bid for furnishing a c tat iron boiler, together with all necessary connections, sufficient to size to heat the aforesaid buildings. The total price shall include the cost of the bioler, all pipes and other connections, as well as the cost of all labor to be performed when said boiler is installed. SEC TION 2. That the City Tanager shall advertise for bids by a notice posted up at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the requ st for bids in at least one (1) issue of the Sun -Democrat. The notice shall be posted and published at least seven (7) days prior to the opcninZ of bids and no bid shall be opened within ten (10) days r the date on which this resolution is adopted. No bids shall be received unless it is under seal, nor shall any bid be received aftr the hour fixed in the notice for the opening of bids. All bids rete v ed by the City tanager up to the time fixed in the notice sha 1 be filed with the Board of Commissioners who may let the contract t the lowest responsible bidder. The lioard of Commissioners shall reserve the right to reject any and all bids and the City shall not become legally obligated to purchase said boiler until the adop of an ordinance authorizin-, the execution of a contract. SEC TION 3.
