71HER EAS, it appears that financial assistance is
no`• available from the Federal Government coverinE the complete
cost or plannin, certain municipal public wort:s, including that
hereinafter mentioned, without obligation to the municipality,
upon a -plication to the municipality, upon application to the red -
oral Agency hereinafter mentioned; and,
47IMEAS, the Board of Commissioners of the City are
contemplatin,^ the creation of a certain project for the constructio
of intercepting sewers extending from George Street and Third"Stree"
alonC the Ohio River front to Terrell Street and Sixth Street, incl

ing sewage pump stations at George Street, Husbands Street, Clay Street
and the 102 inch sewer at 6th Street and an outfall force main and
sewage treatment works to be located in the western part of the "Cit

in order to eliminate pollution in the Ohio River; and,
'NUIMEAS, the board of commissioners now des gyres to
authorize an application for the federal assistance above mentioned
in connection with the necessary planning for such project and desi

to appoint a representative to execute said application and otherwi

act for the City in this connection.

That the said :'ayne C. Seaton is hereby authorized
and directed to execute an application on behalf of the City,
addressed to ,cderal '::orks Agency, Eureau of Community Facilities,

of funds to cover the necessary advance planning in connection
