RIVERS AS DEFINED HEREIN, AND ACCURATELY DEFINING THE BOUNDARIES OF
SUCH TERRITORY STRICKEN OFF HEREBY
WHEREAS, under an ordinance adopted on the 7th day of Play,
1946, the City of Paducah, by and through its board of Commissioner ,
proposed to reduce its boundaries by striking off all of that area
comprising the Ohio and Tennessee Rivers Adjacent to the lands of sz id
city, as will be shown by a plat of.the City of Paducah prepared by
T. A. Bradley and L. IN. Bradley on October 12th, 1943, and on file
in the office of the City Engineer; and,
WHEREAS, said ordinance declaring the desirability of reducing
the boundaries as therein proposed has been published in ten (10)
issues of the official newspaper of said city; and,
l7ij.EREAS, a period of thirty (30) days has elapsed since t
adoption of the aforesaid ordinance and no petition has been filed
in the McCracken Circuit Court protesting against the reduction of
city limits as proposed under the provisions of the aforesaid ordii
ante adopted on May 7th, 1946.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COTM.'ISSIONERS
IOF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That the following described territory embraced within the
present corporate limits of the City of Paducah be, and the same is
hereby excluded therefrom, and that the line of the corporate limit:
be re -located by striking off all of that area comprising the Ohio
and Tennessee Rivers which is described as follows:
"Beginning at a point where the present ':lest city
limits line intersects the low water mark on the
North bank of the Ohio River, which line was es-
tablished by an annexation ordinance passed by the
General Council of the City of Paducah in the year
1894, thence with the low water mark along the North
Bank of the Ohio River and in a Southeasterly dir-
ection to a point where the low water mark on the
;forth bank of the Ohio River intersects the present
east city limits line as established by the afore-
said ordinance adopted in 1894; thence in a south-
westerly direction and with the present city limits
line to the pool -stage or pool -line on the South
bank of the Tennessee River; thence with the pool -
line on the South bank of the Tennessee River and
in a Northwesterly direction to a point where the
pool -line on the South bank of the Tennessee River
intersects the pool -line on the South bank of the
Ohio River; thence with the pool -stage or pool -line
on the South bank of the Ohio River, continuing in
a Northwesterly direction, to its intersection with
the west city limits line as established by the
aforesaid ordinance adopted in 1894; thence in a
northerly direction and with the present west city
limits line to the point of beginnin` on the North
bank of the Ohio River."

SEC TION 2.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
