HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 10, Page 1355, No Ordinance Numbercss 1355 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE OFFER OF IDA HOWARD, ET AL., IN THE SUM OF $25.00 FOR THE PURCHASE OF LOT 5 IN BLOCK 6 OF VAUGHN'S ADDITION, THE OFFER OF GEORGE GRIFFITH IN THE SUM OF X100.00 FOR IHE PURCHASE OF A PART OF BLOCK 26 OF THE LANGSTAFF LANDS ABOVE ISLAND CREEK, THE OFFER OF HURLEY FONDA-5 II4 THE SUM OF $40.00 FOR THE PURCHASE OF LOT NO. 23 IN BLOCK NO. 12, IN GILSON, ROCK AND TULLY ADDITION, AND THE OFFER OF RAYMOND PARIS IN 'THE SUM OF x,15.00 FOR 'THE PURCHASE OF A PART OF LOTS NOS, 112 113, 114 and 115 IN BLOCK NO. 10 IN JERSEY CITY ADDITION; IHEREAS, Henry Collins, Treasurer of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, has become the purchaser of the hereinafter described property of delinquent taxpayers under and pursuant to the provisions of KRS 92.670; and, INHEREAS, the owners of said property have failed to redeem the same within two years from the date of the sale thereof to the City Treasurer; and, WHEREAS, deeds to said property have been executed and delivered by said Treasurer to the City of Paducah as provided in KRS 92.760; and, Y.'HEREAS, the City of Paducah has received offers for the hereinafter described real estate and it is deemed advisable to authorize the conveyance to the bidders for the amounts offered by them; N= THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED By THE BOARD OF C014;6ISSION] OF T::E CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY- SECTION ENTUCKY:SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the offer of Ida Howard, et al., in the sum of .$,25.00 for the purchase of Lot No. 5 in Block No. 6 of Vaughn's addition as shown by plat of said addition of record in Plat Book "A", page 37, in the McCracken County Court Clerk's Office; also the offer of George Griffith in the sum of $100.00 for the purchase of a part of Block No. 26 of the Langstaff lands above Island Creek, said property being 80 feet 'Nest of the H. E. McGee property, having a frontage of 80 feet on the southerly side of South 4th Street, and running back for depth 254 feet; also the offer of Hurley Fondaw in the sum of $40.00 for Lot No. 23 in Block No. 12 in the Gilson, Rock and Tully Addition, as shown by plat of said Addition of record in Plat Book "A", page 25, in the aforesaid Clork's Office; and also the offer of Raymond Paris in the sum of $15.00 for the purchase of Lots Nos. 112, 113, 114 and 115 in Block No. 10 in Jersey City Addition, said lots fronting 1356 28 feet on the North side of Elizabeth Street between 5th and 6th Streets and extending back a uniform width 115.5 feet; and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute deeds of conveyance to said property for and on behalf of the City of Paducah; but without any covenant of warrenty. SEC TI ON 2.
