HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 10, Page 1330, No Resolution Number1330 i' A RESOLUTION EXEI'SPTING FROP:I MUNICIPAL TAXATION FOR A PERIO OF FIVE YEARS THE 14ANUFACTURING BU3INE3S AND PIiGPERTIES O;';NED BY T KE PADUCAH BRICK AND SUP'PLt COMPANY AT 1,349 MUItRBLL BOULEVARD IN AML PADUCAH, KENTUCKY WHEREAS, the Paducah Brick and 6upply Company has be- come the purchaser of all manufacturing machinery and real estatd of the Paducah Brick and Tile Company located at 1.349 Murrell Boulevard in the City of Paducah, Kentucky; and, ,0'HEREAS, the said Paducah Brick and aupply Company will be enga.,ed in the business of manufacturing at said location a new product and one which was not manufactured by the Paducah Brick and Tile Company according to the findins and report of C.W.Crai-, Executive Secretary of the Lanufacturers and 17holesaler Association; and, 17HEREAS, the said Paducah Brick and Supply Company has submitted its application for exemption from municipal taxation on its business and manufacturing properties at the above location; and, 1-M EREAS, it appearing from the report oithe sa-d C. 1,7. Craig that the manufacturing plant of said applicant is a bona fide manufacturing enterprise and that the product it will manu- facture is entirely new and will be different in kind and charact from any type of product previously manufactured by the i-aducah Brick and `rile Company; and, --REAS, it further arpearin that said applicant is entitled under the statutes and the ordinances of the City of Paducah to exemption from taxation for a period of rive years as an inducement to the operation o_ said busine:;s in the City of Paducah; NOIN TFEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF 00M.11- ISSTONERS OF THE CITY 0, PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the business of the Paducah Brick and 'aupply Company, the real estate owned by it, and all manufacturing properties owned and operated in the business o: said company, at 1349 Murrell Boulevard in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be exempt from the payment to the City of Paducah of all license taxes and all ad valorem taxes, with the exception of taxes due and payable for school'r,urposes, for a period of five years be- ginning with the assessments which will become due in the year 1947. 1331 . SEC TION 2. . This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
