INTO AND EXT,.CUTE A CONTRACT kOR THE PURCHASE Or CASOIXR,, AND
OIL FROM THE MID-CONTINENT PETROLEUM CORPORAT.>_ON FOR A PERIOD
OF FOUR (4) MDNTHS FROM JANUARY 1st, 1946, AND PESCRIBING THE
TERM'S AND CONDITIONS UNDER `<'HICH SAID PURCHASE SHALL cE MADE
BE IT ORDAINED EY THE LOARD OF CM0,:IoJIONERS Oil THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That the City Mana er be and he is hereby authorized
to enter into and execute with the ?Lid -Continent Petroleum Cor-
poration, a contract for the purchase by the City upon its order
the Gasoline and oil required for all -overnmental operations
during a period of four (4) months from January 1st, 1946, said
contract to contain the following terms, conditions and covenants
"The Company hereby agrees to sell and deliver to the City
upon its order the gasoline and motor oil required for all govern-
mental operations durinE a period of four (4) months from January
1st, 1946, at the folloz inr prices:
Ethyl Gasoline14-V". per gal.
Premium Totor Oil (Diamond 7E0)• , , 48 it "
Faultless =•rotor Oil . . 38� itIt
(The acove motoroilprices are in
55 Gallon drums)
"Payment shall be made by the City not later than the tenth
of each month for the amount of products sold and delivered during
the precedin,- month.
"In consideration of the :agreement of the City to
purchase of the Company all of the gasoline and motor oil re-
quired for use durinZ the aforesaid period, the Company agrees
:hat in the event of a general advance in the retail price of
gasoline or motor oil at any time during the aforesaid period,
the Companyls otli4ation to sell and deliver gasoline and oil
at tt'e aforesaid prices shall remain and continue in full force
and effect, but in the event of a decline in the retail price of
either of said ^roducts, the City shall be given the benefit of th�
reduction in price."
SECTIOA 2.
As the various departments of the city must be immediately
supplied -,,lith -asoline and oil. for the protection of the public
health and safety, an emer ency is hereby declared to exist
and this ordinance shall be In full force and effect from and
after its arloptior..
