Commissioners on ,:arch 20th, 1945, the sum of ',1200.00 was
apporpriated to the ilectric Plant -'card of the City of Paducah
for payment of the fees of its attorneys, :,alley &- Threlkeld,
for the prosecution of an action a3ainst the Kentucky Utilities
Company to require said company to comply with its electric utili

provisions of said franchise unser which the City of Paducah

October 23rd, 1945, no char3e havin.,r been made by attorneys for
services rendered by them for the period from July 23rd to August
23rd, 1945; and,
WH-EhEAS, said suit is now pending In the Court of Lopeals
and It Is deemed advisable to comply with said board's request by
appropriating the additional sum of ..12)0.00 in order that said
board may continue the employment of its attorneys for a further

SECTMI 1.
That the additional sum of "1,1200.00 be, and the same
is hereby appropriated to the electric slant Board of the City
of Paducah for the purpose of payln,, the expense incurred by it
for the services of an attorney required in connection vilth the
,qc-:,uisition of the electric utility system of the Kentucky
Utilities Company, and the amount 30 appropriated Shall be

char -ed to the cortin ent fund. Said sum shall r,o considered
a temporary* loan to the Elect:i c Plant lloard and shall be
repaid immediately upon the sale and delivery of bonds which are
to be issued for the purpose of purchasin-, said.system.
