That a Resolution entitled: "A RESOLUTIONT AUIHORIZI_IG TIE :'aYO.i AID CITY CLERK TJ EXECUTE, FOR AIM ON BEHALF OF PHI C_T1Y OF KDUCAH A CONTRACT :'IITH TF--.ILLINDZS CENTRAL RAILROAD CO:,iPANY FOR TIE RESUI12ACING OF COXEY SMEET iID CIRCLE STRLET IN SA -D CITY, t' ID PRESCRIBING THE PER;:S APID Ct.NDIT'ONS TO BT. CONITAINED IN SAID CONMACT", which was gdopted by the Board of Commissioners on January 30th, 1945, be and the same is hereby amended so that said Resolution as amended shall rend as fjllo;vs: "Section 1. That the City of Paducah agrees to the cancellation of a contract entered into w8th the Illinois Central Railroad Company on January 31, 1945, sQid contract providing for the construction of a bituminous roadway on Coxey Street 30 feet in width and approximtaely 2690 feet long, ant 30 feet in width on Circle Street and approximately 670 feet long„ and that An lieu of said contract the ✓ayor and City Clerk be end they are hereby authorized to sign and execute, for and on behalf of the City (f Paducah, an a„reement under which -:the Cit; of Paducah will perform all labor necessary for gradin_- and shaping Coxey and Circle Stree s from the Mayfield Road to Caldwell =venue, and will apply VIC-Aspha Lt in two (2) cots to the balded surface usin5 approximately 1.0 gallons per square yard*blotted with about 20 lbs. of sand per sq, yd. This work to be followed by a later application of 7C -Asphalt using approximately 0.3 gallons blotted with about 5 lbs of sand per sq. yd., in consideration of the Agreement of the Railroad Company to pay the entire expense for the materials used, which expense is estimated at "1107.88." . SECTION 2. That the A,;reement between the City of Paducah and the Illinois Central Railroad Company shall hot become effective 1194 until all the terms and conditions contained therein are a)proved by the Board of Commissionerd.
