Pope is also the owner of all of the lots on the Westerly side of said alley and in consideration of the elosin„ of said alley for a distance of ninety-five feet from the Southerly side of 1hirteeneh Street the said Carrye T. Pope has a„reed to dedicate for public use and as a public alley a twelve foot strip of around lying on the -lest side of the alley which adjoins her lot, said twelve foot strip of ]round to extend for depth from the Southerly side of "hirteenth Street to the lire of another alley throu,;h said block Darallel with Park ;venue; and, 71NEREAS, it is deemed advisable to authorize the closinc; of a portion of said public alley along the •+esterly side and in the rear of: the lot owned by the said Carrye T. That the -ity of Paducah accept the offer of Carrye T. Pope to dedicate for public use and as a public alley a strip of Bround twelve feet in width runninS from the Southerly side of ihir teenth Street through the block between Part Avenue and ournett Street, said strip of ground bein„ described as follows, to -".11t: 1192 Being a strip of ground running parallel with Burnett St. extending back from 13th St., 12.01 in width a distance of 951 and 11.01 in width for the remaining distance and more particularly described as -follows: Beginning, at a point on the South side of 13th St. 1051 East of the South east corner of the intersection of 13th St. and nurne tt St., thence in a Southerly direction and parallel with Burnett St. 187.111 to the ;-esterly line of a 121 alley running, parallel with Park Ave., thence in a ;dorth- easterly direction and with the Westerly line of said alley 20.19; thence in a northerly direction and parallel with Burnett st. 761 more or less to a point 951 from the South Property line of 13th St.; thence in an hasterly direction and parallel with 13th St,, 1.01 thence in a Northerly direction and parallel with Burnett St. 95, to the^•.outh Property Line of 13th St.; thence in a !^;esterly direction and with the south property line of Burnett St. 12.01 to the point of beginning. SECTION II That the City of Paducah, in consideration of the a„reement of the said Carrye T. Pope to dedicate as a public alley the above 3escribed strip of ground, does hereby authorize the closir„ of all that portion of the public alleys tvielve feet in width on the Westerly side and reat of the lot of Carrye T. Pope frontin;; 35 feet on the Southerly side of thirteenth Street, the portions of the alleys to be closed hereby being more particulatly described as follows: - Beginning at a point on the South side of 13th St. 116t Ens t of the South ^as t corner of the intersection of 13th St. amd Burnett St., corner to a 12T alley; thence in a Southerly direction and with the oest line of said Iley parallel with Burnett St. 95,; thence in an 'masterly direction and parallel with 13th St. 51.081 to the Westerly line of a 121 alley; thence in a Northerly direction and with the "esterly line of said 121 alley parallel with park Ave. 10, to the line of property formerly owned by Carrye T. Pope; thence in a +iesterly direction and along Pope's South line 421 more or less to the Easterly line of a 121 alley; thence in a Northerly direction and along the t,,3sterly line of said 12v alley 741 more or less to the south property line of 13th St.; thence in a i-esterly direction and alonZ the south property line of 13th Street a distance of 121 to the point of beginning." and the Corporation Counsel is hereby authorized and directed to institute in the YcCracken Circuit Court a suit for the purpose Of carrying the provisions of this ordinance into effect. SECTION III All -ordinances and parts of ordinances ih conflict herewith are to the extent of such conflict hereby repealed.
