AS LOADING ZONES CERTAIN SPACES IN THE DOWNTOWN DISTRICT OF THE
CITY OF PADUCAH FOR USE BY BUSSES OF THE PADUCAH BUS COMPANY
WHEREAS, under an ordinance adopted by the Board of
Commissioners on September 14th, 1925 a "Loading Zone" is defined
to be "That space adjacent to a curb, reserved for the exclusive
use of vehicles or street cars actually engaged in the loading
or unloading of passengers or materials"; and,
WHEREAS, the spaces in which busses stop for the purpose
of receiving and discharging passengers are loading zones within
the meaning of that term as it is used in the aforesaid ordinance;
and,
WHEREAS, under said ordinance it is further provided that
the police department shall determine the exact location of
loading zones; and,
WHEREAS, the Paducah Bus Company has requested that certain
changes be made in the spaces provided for use of busses in the
down -town district for receiving and discharging passengers; and,
WHEREAS, said changes have been recommended by the City
Manager;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COLIII1ISSIO11ERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, IENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That the Police Department of the City of Paducah be, and
it is hereby requested to lay off and establish for use by busses
of the Paducah Bus Company the following loading zones:
(1) On the East side of North Fourth Street, beginning
at the property line on Broadway and extending North a distance of
seventy (70) feet;
(2) On the ,Jest side of South Fourth Street, beginning at
the property line on Broadway and extending South a distance of
seventy (70) feet;
(3) On the North side of Broadway, beginning at the East
property line of 2nd Street and extending East a distance of fifty
(50) feet.
(4) On the North side of Broadway, beginning at the East
property line of 3rd Street and extending East a distance of fifty
(50) feet.
(5) On the North side of Broadway, beginning at the .East
property line of 4th Street and extending East a distance of fifty
(50) feet.

(8) On the North side of Broadway, beginning at the East
property line of 5th Street and extending East a distance of fifty
(50) feet.
(7) On the North side of Broadway, beginning at the East
property line of 6th Street and extending East a distance of fifty
(50) feet.
(8) On the North side of Broadway, beginning at the East
property line of 7th Street and extending East a distance of fifty
(50) feet.
(9) On the South side of Broadway, beginning at the West
property line of 2nd Street and extending West a distance of fifty
(50) feet.
(10) On the South side of Broadway, beginning at the Gest
property line of 3rd Street and extending ,lest a distance of fifty
(50) feet.
(11) On the mouth side of Broadway, beginning at the 19est
property line of 4th Street and extending 17est a distance of fifty
(50) feet.
(12) On the South side of Broadway, beginning at the ';Vest
Iproperty line of 5th Street and extending FJest a distance of fifty
(50) feet.
(13) On the South side of Broadway, beginning at the !'.'est
roperty line of 6th Street and extending ;Vest a distance of fifty
(50) feet.
(14) On the youth side of Broadway, beginning at the 4est
property line of 7th Street and extending :"est a distance of fifty
(50) feet.
(15) On the West side of North 3rd Street, beginning at
the North property line of Broadway and extending North a distance
:)f 50 feet.
(16) On the East side of South 6th Street, beginning at
the South property line of Broadway and extending South a distance
if 50 feet.
(17) Fifty (50) foot bus loading zones at all designated
narked bus stops in the outlying districts on all seven bus routes,
lamely: Avondale Heights, Arcadia, Guthrie Avenue (So. 21st Street)
,rosstown (Noble Park and Mechaniesburg), Rowlandtown, Union Station
tnd Tyler.
SECTION 2.
This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and afte:
