That the City T.Sanager be and he is hereb.1 authorized
to enter into and execute with the ihell Oil Company, a contract
for the purchase by the City upon its order the gasoline and oil
required for all Covernmental operations durinC a period of four
(4) months from 1,iay 1st, 1945, said contract to contain the
following terms, conditions :and covenants:-
"The Company hereby agrees to sell and deliver to the City
upon its order the 7asoline and rotor oil required for all novern-
mental operations durin^ a period of four ( 4) ,months from 1.1ay
1st, 1945, at the following prices:
Ethyl Gasoline 14za C'per ;a 1.
Y.-100 I:Iotor Oil (In Drums) . . . , , G7Sr '
Exclusive of Federal Tax
Golden Shell 1.otor Oil (In Drums) 48,, „
Exclusive of Federal Tax r
The above prices of 1.,Otor Oil are, however
subject to further reduction for quantity
purchases, one time, one destination delivery:
Less than 25 gallons None
25 - GO Gallons 15 per gallon
61 - 120 112 ! " "
121 - 480 " S' t „
481 -1999 " 5p/ If n
Terms of 1%' ten days - Net Thirty days apply for all
purchases of motor oil.
"Payment shall be made by the City not later than the tenth
of.each month for the amount of products sold and delivered during,
tine preceding, month.
"In consideration of the tiUreement of the City to
purchase of the Company all of the gasoline and motor oil re-
quired for use durin,, the aforesaid period, the Company agrees
that in the event of a general advance in the retail price of
gasoline or motor oil at any time durin- the aforesaid period,
the Company's obli;=ation to sell and deliver gasoline and oil
at the aforesaid prices shall remain and continue in full force
and effect, but in the event of a decline in the retail price of
:ii -her of said products, the City shall be given the benefit of th
-eduction in price."
SECTIO11 2.
As the various departments of the City must be irmediately

supplied with Easoline and oil for the protection of the pu;Aic
health and safety, an emermoncy is hereby declared to exist
. and this ordinance shall to in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
