HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 10, Page 1097, No Ordinance Number1097 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $7,125.00 TO THE PADUCAH AIRPORT CORPORATION TO BE USED FOR TIIE RESTORATION OF THE PADUCAH-MCCRACKEN COUNTY AIRPORT, FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF BUILDINGS AND IMPROVEMENTS THEREON, THE PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT AND FOR SUCH OTHER PURPOSES AS MAY BE NECESSARY FOR THE MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION OF SAID AIRPORT WEEREA.S, the United States Government has paid to the City of Faducah, I:entucky, and McCracken County, Kentucky, the sum of � " 4,250.00 in full and complete satisfaction of its obligation to restore the Paducah -McCracken County Airport as it was required to do under the provisions of a lease entered into between the parties on May 7th, 1943; and, WHEREAS, the interest of the City of Paducah in said settlem proceeds amounts to .;7,125.00 and said sum has been paid into the general fund; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the sum of 7,125.00 be, and the same is hereby appro- priated to the Paducah Airport Corporation to be used by it for the purpose of restoring the Paducah -McCracken County Airport to its former condition, for the construction of buildings, hangars and improvements thereon, the purchase of equipment, and for such other purposes as may be necessary for the maintenance and operati of a city -county airport. The City 1.1anager and the City Treasurer are authorized to deliver to Christine Alliston, Treasurer of the Paducah Airport Corporation a check payable to said corporation in the sum of :7,125.00, and the entire amount of said funds sahll be used by said corporation for the purposes hereinabove provided. SEC TION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
