SECTION 1.
That the City of Paducah lease to ."oviard E. Shelton for
a term of one (1) year beCinninL July lst, 19,14, the Old hire Stat!
property located at 10th e- Jones Streets: for a rental of wP5.00 nor
month pa ;,able in advance, and the l.ia;; or is hereby authorized to
enter into a lease under c:hich said p•,,operty quill be rented to the
said Iloavrrd E. Shelton for the aforesaid term upon the folloviinE
conditions:
(1) Said property shall be used as a machine shop and for
no other pur-,ose without the written consent of the city.
(2) Said property shall not be sub -let arid this lease
shall not be assiT;ned without the written consent of the city.
(3) No demand for rent need be made at any time on said
premises or else:•ahere, but it shall Le the duty of the Lessee
to call at the City TreaaurorTs office :in iaducah, Kentucky, and
pay the same when due without demand. :Should the Lessee fail to
pay the rent in full when the same bocortes due, then the Lessor shall
have the riSht to immediately enter and take possession of the prem
and no notice to quit or r':etn nd for •ossession thereof shall be
necessary to recover the possession of said property.
(4) In the event the Lessee shall continue to occupy said
premises after the expiration of t:� aforesaid term, or after a
forfeiture has occurred wither with of without the consent of the
Lessor, such tenancy shall be from month to month and for the rent
specified in this lease, and in no event shall such tenancy be
from year to year.

(5) This lease, at the option of the Lessor shall be void
and forfeited in case of any violation on the part of $he Lessee of
any stipulation herein contained.
SEC TI O.N 2.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
