HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 9, Page 431, No Resolution NumberPage 431 A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE NECESSITY FOR THE CON- DEMNATION OF CERTAIN REAL ESTATE VOR THE PU[POSF OF OPENING AND EXTENDING PARIER STREET, FROM ?+THIN STREET TO KOERNER STREET, IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, AND ORDERING THE CONDEMNATION OF SAID LAND AS A RIGIP.P-OF-1"JAY FOR SAID STREET. BE IT RESOLVED BY TNF BOARD OF COTlTEISSIONmRS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY; SECTION 1, I That it is hereby deemed and declared to be a necessity that a forty (40) foot strip of ground extending from Koerner Street southeasttiwardly to the junction of Parker Street, between Main Street and Koerner Street, be purchased, condemned and procured for the purpose of establishing a right-of-way for said street to be known as Parker Street so as to afford an outlet for travel to the people residing in that section of Paducah,, and so as to afford proper and sufficient drainage to the property in said vicinity. Said property so desired for the opening of said street consists of three (3) certain lots of ground, two (2) of which have been procured by Purchase for the City of Paducah, and the other is owmed by Murray Knight, an infant seventeen ,years of age, and his 1,!idowed mother, Clara Knight, thirty- seven years of age, who has since married Roy T.TcDearmon; that said property so owned by the s -,id Murray Knight and his mother is known as Lot No.15 in Kupke's Addition to Paducah, and is 40 feet in width and lies on the 6outheast side of Koerner Street. SECTION 2, The City Solicitor is hereby authorized and directed to immediately institute and prosecute appropriate proceedings for the condemnation of said property so that the same may be taken over and used by the City of Paducah, to be known as Parker Street.
