A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF CONCRETE
SIDEWALKS, CURBS AND GUTTERS AND ALL NECESSARY MANHOLES, INTAKES,
SEWERS, CATCH BASINS AND SEWER PIPE ON BOTH SIDES OF MADISON STREET
FROM THE WEST CURB LINE OF 3RD STREET TO THE EAST PROPERTY LINE OF
FIFTH STREET AND FROM THE WEST CURB LINE OF EIGHTH STREET TO THE EAST
PROPERTY LINE OF ELEVENTH STREET, AND SIDEIALKS ON BOTH SIDES OF
MADISON STREET FROM THE WEST CURB LINE OF FIFTH STREET TO THE EAST CURB
LINE OF EIGHTH STREET, WITH ALL NECESSARY DRIVEWAYS IN THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, IMUTUCEY, INCLUDING ALL NECESSARY ENGINEERING, ADVERTISING
AND LEGAL AND CLERICAL SERVICE IN CONNECTION THEREWITH, EXCEPT THAT
THE PORTIONS OF SAID SIDE'i:ALKS, CURBS AND GUTTERS WHI H HAVE ALREADY
BEEN CONSTRUCTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CITY LINE, GRADES AND SPECI-
FICATIONS SHALL NOT BE RECONSTRUCTED AND ARE EXCLUDED FROM THE WORK
TO BE DONE UNDER THIS RESOLUTIONg AND ALL TO BE DONE AT THE COST OF
THE ABUTTING PROPERTY OWNERS AND PROVIDING THAT SAME UAY BE PAID FOR
UPON THE TEN YEAR PAYMENT PLAN.
WHEREAS, it is deemed a necessity and is hereby declared
by the Board of Commissioners to be a necessity that Madison Street
in said City of Paducah, from the West curb line of Third Street to the
East property line of Fifth Street and from the West curb line of 8th
Street to the East property line of Eleventh Street be improved by
constructing concrete sidewalks, curbs and gutters, together with all
necessary manholes, intakes, sewers, satch basins and driveways, and
that said Madison Street from the West curb line of Fifth Street to the
East property line of Eighth Street, be improved by constructing
concrete sidewalks thereon, together with all necessary driveways,
except that portion of said sidewalks, curbs and gutters, which have
already been constructed in accordance with the City line, grades and
specifications, shall not be reconstructed and are excluded from the
work to be done under this resolution.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF CO&MISSIONERS OF TIIE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That both sides of Madison Street from the West curb line
of Third Street to the East property line of Fifth Street and from
the West curb line of Eighth Street to the East property line of
Eleventh Street, be improved by constructing thereon concrete sidewalks,
curbs and gutters, with all necessary manholes, intakes, catch basins,
ses:ers, driveways, and sidewalks on both sides of Bison Street from
the west property line of Fifth Street to the East curb line of Eighth
Street, with all necessary driveways thereon and with all sewer pipe
and a.:l necessary engineering, advertising and legal and clerical

service in connection therewith, except that portion of said
sidewalks, curbs and gutters :lhich have already been constructed
in accordance with the City line, grades and specifications, shall
not be reconstructed and are excluded from the work to be done
under this resolution, and all of which shall be paid for by the
abutting property avners and constructed upon the ten year payment
plan.
SECTION 2;
The City Solicitor is hereby instructed to bring in
an ordinance for the construction of said work after the adoption
and publication of this resolution.
SECTION 3.
This resolution shall take effect ten days after its
passage:
