AN ORDINANCE ESTABLI511ING AND O'ENING 26TH STRERT FROM
BROAD'.!AY TO JFFFFRGON STREFT IN THF' CITY OF PADUCAH, KFNTUCI-Y.
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah is the o-iner of a certain
strip of ground between Broadway and Jdfferson Street, consisting
of four separate tracts and parcels of ground 15 feet wide each,
trio of which tracts front. upon Broadway immediately Fast of Hansen
Brothers Garage, and two of which tracts front upon Jefferson Street
I
immediately to the rear of the first two tracts above named and
constituting a strip of ground 30 feet in width, all of which was
conveyed to the City of Paducah to be used for street purposes and
for the purpose of opening up and establishing 26th Street in the
City of Paducah between Broadc,ay and Jefferson Street, and it is
desired that said property be used as a street for the convenience
and accomodation of the public, 110'', THFFFFORE,

OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KFNTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That 26th Street extending from Broadway to Jefferson
Street in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be, and the same is hereby
established and opened and is described as follows, to -wit:
Being a strip of ground 30 feet
in width fronting on the North side of
Broadway immediately East df the Hansen
Brothers Garage -and opposite the junction
of 26th Straet 'on the South side of
Broadway, and extending back at right
angles td Broad,. -.,ay towards and to Jefferson
Street a uniform width "of 30 feet, and
being the same property conveyed to the City
of Paducah by the ';lest End Improvement
Company, and by Chauncy Y. Dodds and his
wife, Charlotte Dodds, Edmund and Albert
Hansen, and by A.T.I.-Foreman and Hecht
Lackey.
SECTION 2'.-
Upon

Upon the adoption and publication of this ordinance said
described tract and strip of ground shall thereupon become and be
a public dedicated street within the City of Paducah, McCracken
County, Kentucky and known ^s 26th Street bet,:aren Broadway and
Jefferson Street'.
