All ORDINANCE CREATING THE POSITION OF CITY SOLICITOR,
PRESCRIBING THE DUTIES THEREOF, AND FIXING THE COMPENSATIOP? THrREPOR.,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, I03I?TUCIff.
SECTION 1.
There is hereby created the position of City
Solicitor. He shall be a regularly admitted and practicing
Attorney at law and shall serve at the pleasure of the Board.
He shall appear for the City and attend to all cases in the Circuit
Court and court of Appeals of the State, wherein the city may be a
party complainant or,defendant; or a party in interest; he shall
give advice to any and all city offcials and to the Board of
Commissioners and shall attend the meetings of the Board of Com-
missioners when requested; and shall supervise the preparation of
all contracts to which the Cit may be a part and

other duties as may be prescribed by ordinance. He shall receive

as compensation for his services the sum of Two Hundred.Fifty and
no/100 Dollars (N250.00) per month.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall take effect from and after
its adoption.
